U.S. HealthWorks Medical Group Acquires Four Seattle Occupational Health Medical Centers

SEATTLE – U.S. HealthWorks Medical Group, a leading operator of occupational health and urgent care centers in the nation, today announced the acquisition of four of the five HealthForce Occupational Medicine centers in Seattle, WA. This acquisition increases the footprint of U.S. HealthWorks to 17 medical centers in the state of Washington and 128 nationwide.

The medical centers located in Tukwila, Everett, Paine Field, and Seattle are occupational health facilities focused on providing injury and illness diagnosis and treatment, preventive services, pre-placement and post-offer exams and testing, and return-to-work programs. Terms of the transaction, completed December 18, 2009, were not disclosed. (The HealthForce Medical Center in Bellevue and their worksite services division remain independently owned and were not acquired by U.S. HealthWorks.)
