|PASADENA, Calif. — More than 250 physicians and affiliated clinicians for U.S. HealthWorks Medical Group participated in the 2nd U.S. HealthWorks Medical Symposium in Pasadena, CA featuring innovators in healthcare research and delivery.
U.S. HealthWorks is one of the nation’s largest operators of outpatient healthcare centers for the treatment of work-related injuries and urgent care needs.
The more than two dozen presenters provided information on research, treatments and trends in the delivery of healthcare, including chiropractic and acupuncture care, sleep apnea, workplace disaster preparedness, the Human Genome Project and how healthcare reform will impact occupational healthcare practice.

Speakers at the conference included: Dr. Jian Han of the Human Genome Project; Dr. John D. Cahill, M.D., assistant professor of clinical medicine at Columbia University College and senior attending in infectious diseases and emergency medicine at St. Luke’s in New York City; and Dr. Jim Chao, associate professor of surgery in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of California-San Diego.
