VALENCIA – U.S. HealthWorks, a leading operator of occupational healthcare and urgent care centers nationwide, today announced the promotion of Joseph T. Mallas as President and Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Mallas will report to Michael Blaszyk, Chairman of the Board of Directors, in his new role effective immediately.
After working at Liberty Mutual in Claims, Mr. Mallas started his 18-year tenure with U.S. HealthWorks in 1996 as Integration Team Leader. Joe went on to successive promotions including General Manager, Senior Vice President of Operations, and Chief Operating Officer.
“Joe’s extensive background in workers’ compensation and nearly three decades of healthcare industry experience make him uniquely qualified to lead our organization,” Mr. Blaszyk said. “His experience and knowledge will guide our firm through the changing landscape of occupational medicine specifically and the healthcare ecosystem overall.
